hi all

i brought some second hand steel 8 spokes today fitted with off road tyres

i put them on to see what they looked like and took it for a drive

i get to 40mph and look out window at drivers wheel and it seems to be wobbling?????

could it not be straight????

or could it be something else???

i have had to use the wheel nuts from my standard alloys as i dont have no steel wheel nuts at mo.

any ideas?????

cheers

It could be the wheel nuts, don't run 'em till you get steel wheel nuts, the chamfer angles are different and the wheels don't fit correctly!

so if i get some wheel nuts for the steels it will solve it hopefully?

i may not have sat the wheel straight when changes them over as look down the passenger side at front wheel it sits dead straight

look down drivers side and the top of wheel / tyre seems to point inat the top????

cheers

The alloy wheel nuts will be hitting the hub before they've tightened the wheel properly, allowing the wheel to move about on the hub.

Don't drive till you have steel nuts, or put the alloys back on!

got some wheel nuts for the steel wheels delivered today so got them fitted wheels r fine but still got tiny tiny bit of wobble from front drivers wheel so we jacked it up and spun the wheel to find out its very slightly buckled!

i cant feel it in the disco anymore so shall not worry bout it to much!
