Yeah but worth the drive if it'll save a grand and a half i reckon! Else might have to do it mesself, but slight issue with equipment...oh yeah and knowledge...oh yeah and an engine...oh yeah and time...oh yeah and a car to do me job with in the meantime!

cornwall and devon landrover club has to be the worst club in the country, run by old fogies, i went once, paid the membership etc got my free stickr and a book that was thicker than the bible or reasons why i cant compete and it turns out that firstly as i have spacers they wont even let me within 100miles of a trial they spend all day waiting around, one of my firneds worked out he was at a trial from 9am in the morning till 4pm in the afternoon and he was only actually driving for 14.5minutes in the whole day

where is the fun in that??

pay and play all the way, its all about what you can drive over no what cones u can drive through

fook off j, you couldnt drive over a cone if yer wanted in that dinky toy of yours! ;)
you all right lad? comming back to the dark side are we??

Drivin round the moors is what i do fer me job! If there are any pay n play to get together with like mindeds i wouldn't begrudge the odd £20, just a bit stumped to find any in the vicinity! The only ones down here seem to want to chauffer you round in their own vehicles and charge you £85 per half day for the priveledge!

kool looks likr were have to give them a look. I was wonting to join the cornwall and deven lr club. I emailed them and never got a repliy. And by the sounds of it its not worth joining

Nah, they sound really dull! The rule list woulda taken half an hour to read!

I'm up fer investigating some of those in the near future, get yer motor up and running and we'll give it a go!

Would be MOST interested to hear details of the Looe one! (or of course any other decent one in Cornwall that don't treat it as a corporate novelty!)

This is going to sound a bit obscure but... If you go to St Day, and find the land rover breaker man there, whos name escapes me :)-)) he can direwct you to a place at wheel jane. IT dnt appear on google aps cos it is very small, but a bloke owns a bit piece o' land, which he lets you drive around - it has mud, rocky bits, a hill climb, brushy kida stuff, proper boggy bits, i think he said about 30 acres. He dnt mind when u turn up, wants £10 per car, if hes in. I have some pics of when I was there in summer, and can try to find it on an OS map if people want.
