Were you can take your 4x4 off tarmac like a quarry etc

OK, you would be better searching for Pay and Play sites. Quite a few of the companies / organisers now seem to work thru facebook.

But do make sure to check them out, I have seen some sites that appear to have quite maverick rules, might not be what you want with kids around.

Cheers

I regularly do guided lane tours with a company called trails and tracks 4x4 adventures, they are family friendly and nothing silly.

Kids are 10 to 13 and just want to go up a few hills bits of mud and water nothing to scary as I don't want to damage my disco

If you can find a tour firm like the ones mentioned they do easy tours, more fun going out seeing places than driving round a site in my opinion

Get the 13 year old driving it:p
From memory there's a place over Telford way and a place Northampton way, sibbertoft or summat like that. Green laning is better for me cos after twenty minutes in a pay and play boredom sets in and I start doing silly stuff:oops:

@Barney87 look for the midland off road club they do kids trials(tyro)from the age of 13.
On my last visit there were 5 youngsters driving disco/LR through the marked courses.

I would rather spend the money laning.
A days racing was entry fee £50
Transport to the event, fuel food etc as this would be a 2 day trip.
Of course you could damage your motor on lap 1.
We entered 1 race £100. 10 miles per lap,10 laps a day & 2 days of comp safari.
Oh them were the days...

We have had some people think £50 is expensive however we are booked up until Aug so plenty feel it’s good value. If you consider it’s 3hours approx 18 miles continuous off road in a place no one else can access ? Come try it first and see for yourselves
