Odd Indicator Issue - Cant solve it

Hey Chaps,

My TD5 Defender has another unusal issue.

The other day the back left indicator started flash very quickly, telling me the bulb had gone. Havnt had time to change that yet

Then last night the front right started doing the same thing so went out to have a look today and found the rear indicator to have loose wires, covered in muck and water and no proper connector plug fitted.

So I assumed that was the issue on the back and needed a new housing and plug. I took the bulb out of there and fitted it in the front.


Went to check and the indicators flashed but then went out, what ever I select left or right I get nothing. So assumed a fuse, checked they are all fine none of them have blown.

Also the indcator stalk still activates the horn and the highbeams/flash.

Rear fog light also no longer works neither does the button. It used to.

In fury went inside, hit the button on the fob and guess what! All the indicators flashed!! Except the ones with no bulb etc..

Cant imagine its the earths as there where just checked and sorted..


Any help!?

Not sure about the TD5 but most problems with indicators stems from the relay or hazard switch not working correctly, but you could start by looking at the indicator switch...................

Solved. Me being a dope and not knowing there where 2 fuse boxes.
