fitted 2" lift springs a few weeks back had no problems so far.Had a look at the front as it looked a little lop sided the drivers side spring wasn't located propertly in the top.About a 10 mm gap.
Do i need to just jack up the car and bang it back in or is this a problem with the shock ?
The spring looks slightly out of shape...a bit bent vertically as i know they are gert big curly bits of metal !
Any help would be appreciated :D

I'ne recently fitted HD springs to mine and also had a 10mm gap ... for about 10 yards, then BANG !! and it dropped into place ... ;)

Mind, mine didn't have a "bit bent vertically" thobut ... can you take a picture and upload it? Might give a better clue than your description. ;)

this is a "normal" spring retainer...

just took some pics on my phone then realised laptop doesnt have bluetooth d'oh.
the spring almost looks like its curved on one side....like more pressure on one side or almost looking like its out of alignment ?

Maybe it is ... the following pic, if it works is my spring top. The yellow arrows show where the top of the spring should fit flat to. The blueish arrows show a flange that the springs should fit into. It's possible that one's popped outside this flange and needs popping back in again, 'specially if you've done a couple of cross-axle twisters recently.

MadHatMans pic shows the bottom of a rear spring which has a retainer on it, but which is slightly different at front.

Heh, Last time I had trouble was also the shock ... bent the shaft so the shock wouldn't go up and down very well at all, so everything stayed at one level or another. Easy fix though.

Yours sounds more like the spring has come off at the bottom. Do you remember fitting spring retainers on the bottom spring mounts? Should be a flat (ish) bit of metal with either a large hole in the middle for the shock or a shaped piece, with two bolt holes that hold the bottom of the spring on. If they aren't on the spring could have dropped off one side at the bottom and same at the opposite side at the top.

right just had another look at the spring its all fine at the bottom....the spring seems to be caught on one side on the inner flange.
Jack it up when i get hom and try to jemmy it back into place ?
