Would anyone know the outside diameter of the spigot bearing in an 01 Td5 . I'm changing clutch , flywheel etc but the new spigot bearing just slides in and out of the crankshaft - no sign of interference fit .
The end of the crankshaft seems fine and though the old spigot bearing was damaged and split on its length it was all there ; it seems unlikely that it 'reamed' the end of the crankshaft .
The bearing (bush) that I have has an OD of 27mm and an ID of 22mm - would this seem correct .
If the bush is correct I suppose "Stud and Bearing fit" or similar from Loctite should hold it .
