So I have been insured with octagon since November . when I took out the policy I paid 2 months in advance. I pay monthly to a different company???? The last payment didn't go out of my bank on time so I paid over the phone, 1 week late, today I received a letter saying my policy will be cancelled. Tried to call them they said high volume of calls so will call me back lmfao because they didn't call back, they never do. I only have 1 payment left to make and they want to cancel my policy, jerks. What I'm peed off about is I will lose a whole year no claims and they reckon a £50 cancellation charge too. Anyone know how I stand please? Will I have trouble getting a new policy that I can pay monthly? And can I still say I have 2yrs no claim from my previous policy? Any help gratefully received cheers

I was with them for a month or so when I got me fender, apart from they were crap.... to cut a long story short they kept "loosing" the info I sent them (photos of the landy etc etc) and they were cancelling my policy after Xdays if i dint send em, after the third time (at which point I was actually on holiday they never phoned me, got home to find a notice of cancellation on me doorstep, in force as of midnight that night)

I told em where to stick it, was over their cancellation period, told em they wernt getting a penny, it was their cock up, not mine.
 
worst insurance company i have come across

moved house and they wanted £40 for change of address, car insurance refunded me £30, because of a better area, told them to stick it and left the policy on the old address, until expiry then never went back to them again
 
Me other half were with them.
Some idiot reversed into her and after they admitted liabillity, octagon started asking me misses to cough up for her excess! To say the least, we told them where they could go...
 
Exactly the impression I get of octagon. I called them again and finally spoke to a real live person, an achievement in itself! They had made a mistake and assured me It was sorted. Needless to say I'm going elsewhere when my policy is up.
