OBD2 connector loose

Hello there my fellow hippo drivers

While connecting my laptop to the OBD connector I noticed its not actually attached to the car, the connector is just hanging down by the passenger footwell.

It still works but means its harder to plug in,

Where is supposed to fit? And how?

Does anyone have a photo?

As standard they just hang down AFAIK>

It's a loose fit in a pull down slide from above and to the left of the heater unit, with a little rubber cover/cap.

Thought it was held in a clip of some sort, with rubber cover over - could be wrong, will take a look when it stops raining.

Mines held in place with a bracket but it does wobble in the bracket.

mine was on a flimsy bracket, until it went for a service and some git snapped it off and didn't tell me about it.....

Mine is on a slider that is riveted to a fixed bracket. It's just so it can be slid out when it's use and pushed back once finished with. The rivet is alloy so will have a limited life!!

Hi, managed to fit it in place, but with out the rivet , so if I slide it out it come put completely ! O well at least it's out the way and I don't have to worry about my passenger damaging it!
