I have an 05 L322 Vogue that won't start
I don't have a code reader and was seeking general advice
Symptoms
Turn key to position 1 all dash lights light up have replaced battery with a known good one
Turn key to start all dash lights still lit up but just a very low frequency morse code like sound from dash
tried tapping starter motor no difference
have checked fuses 18,25,31 and 39 all ok and display voltage when i switch to start mode on ignition switch

"have replaced battery with a known good one" That doesn't mean a thing, it's the voltage that matters.
Lezley is right, sounds like the ignition switch has failed.

Even though i was lucky and only had to spray CRC into ignition switch to clear fault ,time will tell if this is a permanent fix,I am still curious where the start relay is ? on the V8 model it is behind the battery and there are online forums and videos confirming this where it is just a matter to bridge out the relay and the car starts but this relay is not there on my TD6 ,if any one has found this relay or an access point to check ignition switch cranking function I would like to know for future reference to be able to check the crank function of the ignition switch without removing consul

The contact cleaner fix will not last.
