NZ landrover...need a bit of help!

Hey all,

Does anyone know anything or anyway that you can look up chassis numbers or engine numbers to find out any more info...

Chassis number is :24307224B -- what does that mean?!

Engine number is :25192924F -- Again, what does this mean?

Apparently has a 2.8ltr D engine in it...Would this have been from new??

Hey, yep, it is a nissan conversion. Is it a good engine to have over here?
What gearbox will it have on it?

yes good engine and more reliable and powerful compared to what land rover had to offer before early 80's. used allot in early 90/110 and series vehicles. It will probably just have the standard 4 speed series gearbox with an adapter between the two
