I'm swapping out the fittings from my old fuel tank to a new one. I took the fuel pipe assembly out and it's got a tapered gauze on the end of it, looks like it's been soldered on. It's rusty as hell and a slight brush with a small wire brush broke through the gauze.
I don't think this looks standard compared to the pics I've found. None of them show a any type of gauze on the end of the pipe. What's your opinions?
Should I just remove the gauze and use it as it should be, just pipe only? Does anyone know what the pipe length should be please?
