Nottingham / derby area facebook page

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and have just got hold of an old landrover 90.

I'm a student at the uni and am interested in going out the odd weekend to the peak district or any other good routes near by.

Just wondering - would it be useful to set up a facebook page for people in and around the nottingham area to help with communication or trip planning?

I'm happy to set this up if it would be useful to anyone?


I'm relatively new to offroading so would really appreciate any help getting going around Nottingham.

It would be amazing if there would be some way I could tag along with someone on a trip? until now I've been going up to peak district with an os map and looking for greenlanes myself - really haven't had good results with this.

If you keep an eye out on the forum there will always be trips up derbyshire, just put your name down a join in. They are a good day out!

i just had a gd day out up peaks with jimmy and the rest of em gd lane variety or flat n bumpy n gd weather for it too just stick ya name down n show up at the day n time stated n enjoy,

a derby/ notts page would be cool, i go out fail often either with folks from here or just my mates, know a few off the top of my head just gotta get a few more maps

Hi don't know if any of the PM's I've sent from my account have actually been sent

In fact definitely dont think they sent. I received a PM from CEZ19869 and don't think the reply actually left my account. I still have 0 sent messages in the folder.

Yes you need to change settings to save sent messages

give us a shout when you go next but i do need some tyers

I'm back up in notts now. keen to get out. Have a few good tracks I'd like to try out that I found here. Green laning in Derbyshire - Driving trip | EveryTrail

Anyone going soon? I'm thinking of heading out this Sunday.

In the mean time does anyone know of any places nearer to notts to have a bit of a drive around. I'm looking for somewhere that dosen't have to be a full trip out. I've seen the Mansfield desert on the forrums but absolutely can not work out if its open/legal to go to.

Hi, i live a few miles from Ashbourne, would def be up for a trip around there.. had a good look over the definitive map and didnt see much,, are they proper BOAT's? or just somewhere to go?
Not long had my 90, needs breaking in..

There is a trip out on the 7th guys.

I'm not actually sure. going completely on the description he left that there are some good lanes in there.

May not be going this Sunday however as was doing a little laning this afternoon and have bent the rod between my two front tyres.... This is having bought a steering protector plate and being too lazy to fit it yet

looks like its a good place to go tho
