Hi folks,
Im Tom and im working on a series 300Tdi conversion. Im some of the way through now but still have some problems to solve. Based in Kemnay Aberdeenshire - generally a lover of anything classic with a story, some history and an engine.
Removed the old Perkins motor which was then given away to a guy in perthshire as no one wanted it on ebay :-(

Cleared the engine bay of the battery tray and other sticky outy bits that are no longer required.

Custom made the engine mounts in order to keep away from the exhaust manifold.

Installed the new clutch and pressure plate which matches up nicely to the series gearbox. This is an item from glencoyne engineering with the correct spline pattern to match up to the series gearbox.

Got started on the wiring after giving the engine a really good clean up. We sourced the engine with most of the ancillary parts including the glow plug timer relay which along with the oil pressure sensor and a coolant temp sensor, we are hoping will be all that is needed to run it.
