Im guessing landrover didn't do this from factory so anyone have any ideas of what happened here?


as im posting photos any idea if the oil leak (from the bolt next to filler cap) in picture 3 is serious?

The pipe is for the vacuum on the servo, the pipe from the t-piece not sure where it goes but possibly to the heater controls to activate flaps n things in the heater box!! im sure someone else can be a bit better in their description lol

The oil leak is easily fixed by putting a new rocker cover bolt seal in, pennies i would have thought!!
 
great cheers, i was worried incase it was suposed to be letting something breath and it had a plug in it!
 
I think the bolt is where the vacuum pipe for the EGR control valve solonoid thing was. there is another post on here not far away asking about some pipes under where the chock and jack sit nearside front. This is the other end of one of them.

And as J.P.S says the sealing washers for the rocker cover bolts are easy and cheap to replace
