Non Starter

I have a 1998 3.9 V8 and for some unknown reason she has now decided not to start it winds over but no start.

What are the common things to look for???

What I did notice the other day when she did start and run OK when the ignition was on not running I could here the fuel pump whirring all the time is this normal ?? today I could not here it running

Also i have had the battery off the Disco

my thought is have you reset your imobiliser ? you should have a code in your hand book that you put in via the drivers door lock on 300tdi maybe the same system on your disco

Hi have you got it fixed yet,i have a 3.9 98 model gas converted,had the engine out and back in , battery out loads of times never needed to reset any thing ,are you sure its the pump you hear i cant hear my one .are you getting petrol to the fuel rail .try taking off a pipe if you can get at one. Do you have a dizzy or coil pack ignition .
