Today i had a call from the garage to say they found the problem with my rangerover, only took three weeks to look at it, it would turn over but did not have a spark, i changed the crankshaft sensor as did the previous two garages (before i owned) it turned out to be a broken wire in the loom, from the csp sensor to the ecu, so my toy is back and i am waiting for the next problem :D

Hi I R
The problem was the plastic outer was intact but the core was broken.

they also tried to sort out the air bag fault/srs, but the genuine landrover test equipment couldn't comunicate with the srs unit, any ideas.

They first of all said they could not get a connection, then an electrician got that sorted, it was the fuse (33) they checked the system and it came up with the csp sensor fault, once they got it running they reconnected the test equipment but could not access the srs unit, so i told them to leave it and i /we would sort it later.
