I have not really ben using my disco very much for a while now due to fuel prices we have mainly used our other car and i was beginning to think that owning it was a bit of a waste of money and thinking of selling it. A few days ago i had to go and collect our caravan and then sold the caravan, this involved a 100 mile trip each way to collect it and then when sold delivered the caravan which was another 120 mile trip each way. The disco was great for towing as i am sure most of you know but what i really enjoyed was the drive back home from Norfolk after dropping of my caravan, left at around midnight and took mostly A roads all the way back a lot of which were single carriageway and free of traffic, the disco drove beautifully at a good pace and reminded me why i own it, it's like being a born again owner, i actually like it all over again. MPG wasnt very good though cos i was shifting along a bit, but it was fun!!
Just thought i would post a thread in praise of a disco as most posts on here seem to be doom and gloom of things going wrong.
now i have done this it will probably go wrong now LOL

with you on this - it's to easy to get carried away with the crap bits - **** poor fuel consumption, never ending rust, crap build quality.
but take the bugger out and just drive it and it all makes sense again

love mine to bits( lots and lots of bits):):):):)
