You seen one particular you fancy? Why 2 your Disco is pretty much the dogs cocksticles

Have been in talks with someone who has this FFRR V8 4.4

But I’ve nearly got all the jobs done on mine so only pondering about it

As a side note finished the front of mine now, with the badges removed and refitted the updated dashboard with the extra gauges and the 3.5mm socket added , that took days and days to finish off as I wanted the small aux socket to blend into the heater console , can see it in the 3rd pic

Many thks for the kind words

The guy I bought it off had a landrover before, but he said the wheels were too small and it didn’t have enough ground clearance for off-roading in Norway, that’s why he got the Laplander

By the way my brother had a mk1 defender, was good, don’t think you’ll convert me though. I’m not necessarily a Volvo convert either. Just thought people would find it interesting as it’s a real classic in Scandinavia. Designed to drive through the forest and be easy to fix in the field. Also has the record breaking b18 engine in it.

I’d say it’s pretty rare in the uk

Welcome Aboard :) Seriously.

My Father had a 240GLT donkeys years ago - IIRC it had the 2.1 Turbo petrol engine, and was a great tool - I got to drive occasionally - he replaced it with a Granada 2.3 V6 blob, which was inferior in most respects IMHO - the only fast part of that thing was the speed with which the fuel gauge moved

It is an interesting vehicle... Shame the wiki article doesn't have much info - Have you got any pics of the mechanicals to fill in the blanks ?

The B18 is a fine engine, and capable of some quite serious work = a proper engine :)
