No head lights or side lights defender tdi

Good day everyone , need some help .I have a defender 300tdi rest of the world spec ,it's a cross over from the tdi to td5 wiring loom it's a 2001 so it carries a fuse box under the drivers seat as well as the passenger compartment . Lost all my lights , checked all the fuses and relays and all seems good . Did some testing on the switch I am getting a 12 volt input on the brown wire but when I move the switch to the on position it goes to earth . I searched for the dim dip relay but I don't think I have one. If I disconnect all my lights at the headers and put the switch in the on position it remains at 12 volts . I also tried a switch assembly from my other defender and it didnt work Any advice would be greatly appreciated I have hit a dead end

Find the relay, it has one for sure

Hi pete I think because it is a rest of the world spec it did not have one but Ill check any idea where else it can be besides behind the gauges ?

Anywhere in engine bay.
Most likely melt the switch if it ain't got one.

Tried the switch assembly from my other defender and it still does the same thing

So it's not the switch then

Lest the switch in isolation.

Then find the relay

Nope

I will remove the dash tomorrow and see if I can locate the relay
