Hi All this is my problem pulling out a junction their was a clunk then no drive can get all gears and the drive shafts are rotating when in gear but wont move. tried 4 wheel drive and put in overdive still wont move any help please.:confused:

Hi / low lever not been properly engaged and jumped out into nutral, or o.d lever if fitted again not engaged properly and jumped out into nutral, or half shaft / rear propshaft failed.

Hi Again
yes it has free wheeling hubs i will engadge in morning and try if it moves dose that mean its the rear diff thats gone.
If it dosent what will i need to look for after that.

Overdrive drive from the rear of the gearbox can strip the splines. To get going take overdrive off and replace gear on end of mainshaft.

Chock the wheels, take the handbrake off, put the box in neutral. If the rear propshaft turns you've broken the diff or (more likely) a rear propshaft. My 50p is on the propshaft - they do wear, fatigue and break. If it is, replace both 'cos the other one will probably break sooner than later.

Put the landy in neutral chock under wheels both props turn dose this mean that both props have had it or both diffs. The free wheeling hubs are engaged so will i need two props and two diffs. Thanks for the help

Seems a bit odd that everything has busted at once:confused:

I'd start taking it to bits and be sure before you start spending wedge:)

Had a mate round he says the fr/diff looks like its never worked and the back/diff has given up the goast so it looks like 2 new diffs requied.:frusty:
A big thanks for all the help.:)

Pull both rear propshafts out before you get a new diff - it's only 12 bolts on the two drive flanges and the sound your failure made sounds more like shaft than diff.
Some front freewheel hubs have a tendency to stick if they're not used much - again, it's worth popping the covers off to see if they are engaging properly.
Broken diffs should sound horrible and graunchy!

I would agree with oxides and say more than likely a rear half shaft snapped,I've destroyed a few diffs in my series over the years and never had one go and be totally quiet after, they normaly go with a bang and then the teeth lock it up so it skips and jumps and makes a hell of a noise! As said pull out both rear half shafts and see if the inner spline has snapped off,you need to take them out to do the diff anyway so all is not lost.

Could easily be a front half-shaft gone in the past and a rear one just gone. Pulling away then a clunk with no drive is exactly how I'd describe my halfshaft popping a while back.

Halfshafts are the weakest link in a Series drivetrain (after uj's and prop slide)....ask anyone who off-roads with a 200tdi conversion

A BIG THANKS to all for the help mate will pull the half shafts for me as im disabled hes good with anything like that says he will sort it all for £20 so i will get him a few crates of beer to as local landy bloke wants £30 a hr + parts and says its a long job.
Once again thanks everyone.:):clap2::praise:
