No Compression

HI All,

Was just wondering if anyone could help me out, I have a Freelander 2008 2.2 diesel that has no compression in one cylinder and am not sure why

A bit more info might help a diagnosis ... Like has it been running OK? What happened when it lost compression? How do you know it's just lost compression on one cylinder? If you've tested it, what made you test it? Are there other, possibly contributory symptoms?

No compression can be a number of things from no piston to broken piston to broken piston rings to broken valves to broken conrod, to broken camshaft .....

No compression at all?
Valve stuck open, hole in piston, head gasket gone bad.
Pulling the head is necessary on each scenario .

Do they have flaps in the manifold to help swirl, could be broken one jammed in inlet valve?
