As he title says. I have a discovery 300tdi and I havent got any anti roll bars plus I have 4" lift with +5" shocks my problem is when I jack it up to change a tyre etc with my hi lift my tyre still stays on the ground. So Im wondering what other people have done to get around this. I dont really want to put anti roll bars on either but if I get a puncture or something not sure how id go about it. Thanks

Its not just a puncture its obviously other things aswell if I need the truck off the ground when a hi loft is needed then it still wouldnt work. Lol

If you aren't taking the wheel off I've got one of these

If you do want to remove the wheel you can always stick an axle stand under the the axle and remove the hi-lift or as already said tie the axle with a check strap before jacking

Ah soz I thought you had one for sale. Il have a look. Im thinking of getting a short rachet strap and putting a hook on the other end so only a short length then just hook it on to chassis then axle just for getting wheel off the ground.

Dangerous things hi-lift jacks. Unstable at the best of times - if you have a 4" lift and no ARBs you are going to have to raise the car well high to get the wheel off the ground. I would advise against it's use for this unless you are on firm, level ground and have no option - and be careful when you release it! As already suggested use a bottle under the axle. Have a word with your local scrapyard .
