Anyone had any dealings with these guys?
I was assured when I bought them they had a 5 year no quibble guarantee, after less than 12 months the tread is starting to seperate from the carcass and one of them had developed a buldge in the sidewall (casing failure) with no external damage.
I have emailed them to be told that hey can't see an issue with them and if I want to go further I have to send them back (at my cost I suspect) for them to send to Italy for diagnosis.
I only bought these as they were slightly cheaper than insa turbos and offered a guarantee!

Did you get them from italy, if not its down to the supplier that you bought them from as they offered the warranty, threaten them with court action and see what they say ?

where did you buy them?

i found them to be crap. very soft and wear too fast. i also had the sidewall come apart.

madness to choose them over insas

I also don't get on with the uk distributers.

I got them from the uk importer, was assured by them that there wouldn't be an issue, the fronts have worn badly, but I have been lazy and left them on for road work.
Am now struggling to find special track 1's everywhere seems to stock the 2's

I bought my marix pumas in November. A few weeks back I noticed a crack around 3/4 of the circumference of the sidewall, so I found newlife tyres/red path tyres and they asked me to send a few pictures and if it was plain and simply not my fault a replacement would be sent and I would hear back within 48hrs. I waited a whole week and no one contacted me so I phoned them and was told they would not be taking any further action unless I sent them the tyre for inspection. I told them that wasn't possible as I don't have a spare in that size and they said I would have to buy a spare in that case and it could be upto 5 weeks before I hear anything. All of this occurred after I ordered 16s originally on a Friday and Monday I recieved 17s and they said I would have to send them back and when they recieved them they would send 16s. Terrible customer service.

they also sell other tyres under the redpath name.

I went to them. they stuck on a wrong tyresize one time, it was so big you couldn't turn full lock, another time it was the wrong make.. but i cba going back to get it fixed.

i also asked how much it would be to fit and balance some part worns... they wanted £100

they have quite a few depots and do huge dumper truck tyre contracts so i don't think they really give two hoots about this side of the business. just as well as it's a naff product.

Well this sounds like it's gonna be fun then, I'll ring them next week and give them hell!
I've sourced some new ones now, gone for 235/85r16 kamians, hopefully they'll last a bit better!

This is worrying, I got a set of marix pumas on my 90. Used them 4 years now (had a set on my old vehicle too) never had a problem but I'll be getting under it each week to check mine are still safe

Think they will be getting replaced by insas when they need changing.

they not starting to crack after 4 years? :D

Mine aren't too bad but in my eyes after less than 12 months there shouldn't be any perishing, I'll stick some pics up in a min, once I've removed the buldged tyre I'll check it I'm expecting to see damage on the inside of the sidewall.

Like I said mine aren't too bad but after less than 12 months I'm not impressed to say the least!
The buldge appeared whilst at a pay and play, there was no damage to the outer of the tyre the scuffs occoured whilst getting to hard standing.

Yeah lions, one of the other reasons I went for them was the sidewall lugs and they look more aggressive than the special track 2's

I just been out and checked mine, all look fine but I'll be keeping a close eye on them. Mine are the puma pattern (insa turbo copies) hope you get a refund replace its bad they look like that after this amount of time.
