Good morning all,

I have a set of near new axles off a newer defender (with ABS). Can I just swap them for the axles that are under my 1985 Land Rover 90 and just disconnect the ABS line or will I need to replace or modify the caliper. It looks like plug and play for the most part but I wanted them to work as they should. The axle seems to be a little different than the earlier land rover axles but really just the pumpkin. All the other accessories seem to be where mine are. I upgraded because of the rear disk brakes and the housing isnt all rusted like mine but I should have asked about the ABS first. Thank you for any help.

you could just cut wire off sensor and fit, front top swivel pin could be replaced with non abs one to be neater, front radius arms will need changing to wider def 300 tdi on or any disco arms, apart from that its bolt on

Thank you Mr. Martin, that is what I was hoping but I wasnt for sure. My luck I would have cut the wire and it would lock the brakes up. Thanks again for the help.
