Hello, i recomend DO IT!! Haha. Remaps make a lot of sense, just bare in mind if its for performance it may shorten the life span of components- although faster/ more aggressive driving tends to do that anyway.
Iv driven a friends 3.0l tdi Quattro A4 before and after its remap and it was like a completely different car. Well worth the money!- it was increased to 276bhp so it was bound to do something.

Yeah completely agree with you, I think the remap is a must!
