What about the Volvo XC90, my friend has one I occasionally borrow, full size car, very comfy and in ten years he's had a wheel bearing go and the turbo hose split, otherwise fault free

I have an XC70 - probably better rear leg room than the XC90 and nothing has gone wrong with it at all. Better on juice than a 90 too.

I have never been a Volvo fan, apart from an 850R estate I borrowed to flit a mate back home from uni. That was rapid.
Don't like the XC90. Sorry, the new one is lovely and I have been checking lease prices. Check again closer to the time, but I would rather have an X5 or Cayenne at the current comparable leading costs.

I've had several Volvo's, the last being a 960, totally reliable even at 280K miles. New ones are out of my price range.

No I get that...... the image isn't there, but they are so good, I once went to Paris in my friend's and picked up my ex girlfriend's entire flat!!!
I'm seriously considering one once I get my car fixed and sold.....
I did that when I move out of my week day flat in York back home in an Infiniti FX50, to say my skills on Tetris were brought into play is under playing it.. Apart from being cr@p cars (though there is something about the Vettle edition) they are tiny inside.
