hay all im new dont know how this works

Welcome to the mad house, not knowing how things work is a speciality around here

where do i go if i need help or advice can someone tell me please

Go to the section that involves the vehicle or engine you have a problem with i.e. Discovery / 90 110 etc. TD5 / 300Tdi etc.

Write a new post.

Top of screen > click on FORUMS
Scroll down page until you get to the forum which will cover the question you have
click on the forum
scroll down slightly , there is a start new post button RH side , click on that.

Also suggest that you use the search feature, which is the white bo top of screen on RH side.
