so far i only have one question it has the sat nav unit and the karmon-harmon or however you spell it audio system which is nice however, i am wanting to put aside this unit and put something a bit better in it would i need a special harness adapter for it?

Welcome to the madhouse :D

Some units do fit without an adapter, though for the life of me I'm not sure which. It has been done before. Nip over to the FL section after doing a site search on Radios if you can't find the relevant thread.

If this is your first experience of FL1, ensure that you replace either 2 or 4 tyres at once with the newest pair on the back. It all helps with VCU operation and ensures less stress is placed down the drivetrain.
You will probably have a Fuel Burning Heater FBH, which warms up the coolant and cab temp. The hint is the little tailpipe sticking out from the front passenger side bumper. So don't worry about the occasional roaring from there on a cold day :)
