Hi, I just found this site by accident looking for some advice on Freelander clock/display, so I'll look there next.

I've had my Freelander now almost 8 years. 8 eventful and costly years. I have a 2000 W reg diesel Freelander. Costs have included IRD which went in first 6 months then again less than 3 months later together with Viscous Coupling. Whine from a drive belt that garage couldn't find ended with fan belt snapping, getting trapped under timing belt and lifting it with obvious results . (I was doing 5mph in traffic on M1 at time. I'd mins earlier been doing 70). Usual oil drips, clutches (2) and rear window mech shredding cable.
I must love her as I still have her.:D
Still she's quite economical. Before this I had Ford Fiestas and Escorts then a MkII GTi and Freelander does better mpg than any of them.
