Hey all , I'm from Gateshead and own a 1995 2.5 hse , I am having problems with it at the moment
The car way running fine until it started making a ticking noise from front ov engine, after I drove it for a few mile I had a fault on dash "alternator fault" so I pulled over and something was very hot down near the alternator and was steaming said something had been rubbing !! The car had also lost power under load ,
I've since bought a alternator and fitted and its still not charging , so had both alternators bench tested and they both fine , so refilled Nd checked all wires and fuses !!! And still not charging ,
Need someone to shed some light on common problems or what else I should check !! Before I get a auto electrician to have a look
