Newbie and new to all things LandRover..

Hi all, I am Nick from Bedfordshire: a complete newbie to the LandRover scene having run sports cars as weekend toys for years.

I have decided that owning a Defender is a long term itch that I need to scratch and am actively looking for a suitable 90 but am trying to work out whether the burble of a V8 outweighs the obvious benefits of the diesels. I will post a thread requesting help in a more appropriate section of the forum and and help would be very gratefully received.

I look forward to getting involved and also my post stating I have found a suitable one!

welcome from me too.. Altho, I'm a complete newbie too. I dont pick my first Rangie up until next friday (2000 p38 v8 - cant chuffin wait!). I too scratched the performance itch with a heavily modded wrx last year, then went down the economy route with a 190d vegggie only to splash the feet of hippies soon with my Rangie. I'm seeing it as my 'works van'. 350 mile a week daily for caravan, 2 kids'n'wife, snow, mountain biking etc etc..
