managed to pick up some 265/75/16 for my disco. Going to have to lift and a few other bits to get them to fit properly

yeah 2 inch lift will be enough, you will need to do a camel cut for the rear as it will catch under articulation also trim the front bumper end caps unless your getting a hd or winch bumper
 
Plus if they are not offset wheels you will need to adjust the steering bump stops to avoid rubbing, or if they are offset, extended arches will be required ;)
