Well, after the bobtail going to fund a new trialler and the 'ol 90
going as I was never going to do anything with it, a "new" vehicle came
along to fill the gap as it were.

I've been after a Series one for years, infact, about the last 15years!
So when I found out about this one I just had to have it (many many
thanks Rich B!)

I love all my Land Rovers but this one in particular has found a
particular place in my heart. Yes i know it's got a fabricated
bulkhead, and I know it's got a series two wing bodged onto it but hey,
i put a fully charged battery on it today, and it started first time,
and all the lights worked. Not what one would call original though!!!

What I am looking for if anyone has got one is a proper out wing for
the drivers side, and also probably more importantly, I could do with a
set of 4 tyres for it. I really don't want to put a set of metric
(205/16 or 235/70) tyres on it, it seems only right that it has either
a set of 600x16s or 750x16s. So if anyone has a helf decent set
knocking around and wants to part with them then give me a shout. Use
[email protected].

The original tyres are split and perished so although it's got an MOT
it could do with a proper set that are at least road legal.

All the best,

Dave

P.S. Any other series one owners on the forum?

I'd suggest joining the Series I Club - I'm pretty sure someone is
making correct pattern wings. There is also one supplier of new
600x16 tyres still left (can't remember who though!), and the
tread pattern is roughly authentic.

Use to have the second oldest 107 still around, but our move to
new premises forced it's sale :-(

Avon Traction Mileage 600x16, at least 10mm centre tread depth on all. Dry
stored and like new, no cracks, splits, tears or weather/UV damage - Jpeg's

Laptops keys out here in the garage could do with a de-gunk.
