hiya,
i bought a 2002 td4 auto 3 door commercial with just over 170,000 ,miles on the clock and paid just over 2,000 for it, that was just over a year ago
have since put rear seats in it and side windows, done the usual mods, ie bmw crankcase filter, synergy 2, air filter, egr bypass kit, must admit since fitting the synergy 2 i couldnt belive the difference and caught me out from stand still as it became very nippy if thats the word for a 2 ton car.
through out the winter and the snow we had i only got stuck once as i was gliding on ice, but apart from that i love it, starts every single time, keeps me warm in the cold and nice and cool in the summer, love the high seating position and since i done the back seat and window conversion it feels even nicer, ie handles alot better.
personally i cant fault even though its high mileage it doesnt smoke and will still happily sit on 80mph , even though i keep it about 65-70 to keep the fuel economy and get around 35mpg
hope you enjoy your freelander and may i also say the guys on here have helped me beyond belief and allowed me to enjoy my freelander and touch wood trouble free motoring by listening to the great advise ive got here.
