Hi all,

Just saying hello as i’m New to the forum. Just started a resto on my recently purchased Defender 90, 200 tdi and amazed at the info on here, I’ll need it all too.

Managed to strip it all back to the chassis aft of the bulkhead myself, aided by a grinder WD40, cobalt drills and some industrial “French”. Wings & engine out this weekend, subject to the weather.

Cheers

Welcome Tirran... I'm still pretty new here myself and as you say lots of good advice and loads of very helpful people. Don't forget to post some pic's ;)

Thanks, a curly wurly has more strength than the chassis, I new that when I bought it. Although, as I strip off the front end the bulkhead is revealing more issues than I first thought. Plan is to strip down, replace chassis, refurb axles, engine, gearbox etc and rebuild. No suspension lifts or V8 just back to the standard 200 tdi with some comfort mods .

The strip down is complete, now for the hard part, rebuilding.
