Hi, always wanted a discovery, so in sept bought a 52 plate TD5 xs.
I loved it, I always knew they had bit of a reputation for the odd breakdown, but this car is stretching my patience beyond where I thought possible.:scratching_chin:
The issues seems to revolve around the key, imoboliser, alarm?
It is becoming so inconsistent. I press the key fob and if it doesn't open the door then I need to use the key which sets off the alarm and in turn the car won't start. this happens randomly without any warning.
The car has been in diagnostics, key fob checked all fine. they suggested that water might be leaking in from the sunroof still awaiting a dry day to seal it.
however, today has been a dry day and this morning all was fine until I stopped off for work and was left stranded for several hours before it righted itself again. frustrated......can anyone help?
