Hi and welcome aboard! Which disco ?? ( mines on the left !!) tell us a bit about yourself... and put some pics up!!

I have a 2004 Discovery 2 Landmark. It has 118k on it and is in tiptop mechanical condition. The bodywork has had a recent touch up and needs tidying. I bought it 4 weeks ago and I love it!
I live on a farm in Devon, North of Dartmoor and keep sheep.
Will post some pictures soon!

Hello and Welcome.

If you have a D2 then I would suggest making sure you have the following:

1) At least 1 working fob, preferably 2 working fobs.
2) If only 1 working fob then at least have a key that works on the door lock and the ignition.
3) Find out the EKA code, know how to use it and keep it somewhere you remember.

Finally , look for someone local who has the correct diagnostics for the d2, Hawkeye , nanocom , Lynx.

I think they are great motors, hope you enjoy yours.

Cheers

Thanks for the advice. I have two key fobs, on with a button missing, but two working keys.
Have a great Landy specialist 2 miles down the road, just did a small service and she is running sweet.
I'll find out about EKA code
Thanks for the advice!

Sounds good,

when you say button missing, is this the plastic cover button or the electronic boards microswitch?

Covers are cheap as chips from the bay of flea, but there are a few good companies that can replace the microswitches and refurbish a good key fob, or you can buy the switches yourself.

cheers

It's just the cover for the micro switch I'll grab a new one.
One thing that is missing is the horn button cover on the right side of the steering wheel. Where's a good place to look for them?
Cheers

Not sure on the Horn button.

I do know a D2 breaker who i am going to speak to tomorrow, if he has one I will let you know.

Or a local breaker may have one, But if you need to take the steering wheel off to fix it ( I have not taken the horn button off before ) , be careful of the airbag.

Cheers
