Hi,

I've had an 05 110 XS for a year or so now and the add-on bills are growing.

I'm 6'4" so fitted a set of Mud Rails whihc transformed the seating position.

A Dension Ice-Link and Brodit bracket means I can run the iPod through the radio as the CD is u/s given the suspension.

Steering guard obviously (avoiding chequerplate until the dents arrive).

My roof must have been stuck on by bob-a-jobbers as the gutters are low on one side making it hard to fit a roof-rack.

Safari Snorkel and wading kit may have been a rash move since I can't fit a roll cage now for bolting a roof-rack to. I'll be pestering the dealer to see if I can get the gutters tweaked under warrantee.

I'll be interested to hear your review of engine / ECU tweaks as I may do the same once the warrantee runs out.

I've swapped all door bolts for SS and put the rear wheel on a Mantec frame..

I've also added a second fusebox to run accessory points on a Mud Tray, Mobile Storage Systems Cubby Box and in the rear. Now wiring for Fogs, Spots, additional horn (Stebel Nautilus), heated mirrors (already added larger version), work light etc. Adding OEM Front Fog Light switch and Mud Pod for additional switchgear.

Plan to add Tachometer (given the previous comment about the TD5 needing a bit of welly) and move clock to Mud Pod.

A potential expedition in early 09 means I am looking at hydraulic winch options (with take-off for log spllitter etc), long range tank, jackable sills, double battery, CB...

As someone said earlier the list is endless.

Have fun.

Definitely agree about the tachometer, I feel it needs one, a lot of the time it sounds like I'm thrashing it (relatively!) but I don't know how many revs I'm actually producing - I'm not used to the harshness of the engine (sounds a lot noisier than the cars I'm used to) but what I feel is harsh may well be only 2500 revs :D

I was looking at TD5-Alive (link earlier in the thread), they do an ecu swap by return of post, approx £495. What would be nice is an impartial test of a few of the options available. I also noticed something called a 'Hurricane', a plug in module for I think £475.

Still unsure on the wheels, no rush I guess. I do fancy a steering guard though.

Td5 rev limiter won't spoil the fun until you hit 4800rpm, which for a diesel is rather high.

They tend to sound slightly rough above 3000rpm, but the peak power delivery is at 4200rpm, so you have to rev it to make the most of it.

I dont like revving like that lol. got it into my head i might blow it up donig that. So it is genuinly ok to rev the b*ll*cks off a td5!!!:D

Bushtoy, that picture!!!!

m33ufo, I reccomend an aluminium steering guard and possibly a checker plate kit depending if you like them. The steering guard tends to add depth to the look of front of the Landy while improving resilience off road.

As was said, the options are endless.
