New TD4 owner wants accessories, need help.

Hi all,

I have just become the proud owner of a 55 plate freelander sport TD4 station wagon, now I want to add the finishing touches and need just a couple of things.

1) A chrome exhaust backbox preferably twin exit, what's available and which looks the best, pictures would be v helpful.

2)I fancy upgrading the stereo, it has the single disc cd player, I would like a multi disc set up and maybe an upgraded speaker set, are there any bespoke kits available or am I best just going to a car audio place and getting a new system installed in place of the original?

Also if there are any subtle, decent modifications anybody could recommend, cosmetic or performance I would be grateful for the advice.

Don't take it to heart, in some eyes its bad enough you own a Hippo but to come on here and ask about accessories and mention chrome exhausts...

I think you are getting off lightly. just as well you never mentioned checkerplate...

Stick with it they are OK people really and will help you out when you get the usual Hippo problems.

chrome might look a bit w*nk, but Double 'S' Exhausts - The Original and Finest Stainless Steel Exhausts Manufacturer in the South West of England, UK. We have been manufacturing quality stainless steel exhaust systems for nearly 40 years for performance and classic cars. list a twin exit pipe version silencer for the td4 that might look better.

if you want performance mods, do no more than look for roverron

as for audio, there is a multichanger upgrade available from duckworths which fits under the passenger seat and comes with a original wiring loom


as for a thicker skin, you'll just have to grow that. maybe not the best forum for straight answers, but definitely the best forum
