New Speakers

I have a 2002 range rover and i am wanting new speakers and also to get some subs in my car..
Does anyone have any suggestions on the best brand or type that would be perfect in my car?

If you insist upon putting subs in your motor I would suggest that they are very large and dripping wet.

If you insist, I would suggest one of the available mini-subs although it's still going to hang way out of the back of your Landy.

not my thing but it kinda depends on what music you want to listen to but i found mutant 14 inch 1000w sub and fly 5 inch front and pioneer 6x9 300w speakers rear in me old pajero always gave a good sound if you like rock but not so good with drum n bass and such.my 90 is too noisy fer a stereo so ripped it out as i couldnt hear the bugger anyway.

Double din with touch screen, (could even go with integrated Gps)
din adapter, stalk adapter,
Then depending if you want crazy bass or just a good all round sound either:

A pair of slim line subs under the seats with an amp mounted under the centre cubby,

One big sub and amp in the boot ( plus a quick plug so you can remove in seconds )

Or get hold of the original style sub in tailgate but then you will need a small amp hidden behind the trim in the boot to power it as it won't run off an aftermarket head unit.

In a Range Rover there is a lot of interference so buy the cables with the best shielding you can afford and run the power down he opposite side of the car!

I have always found Pioneer to be the best with Alpine a close second for high class audio and both can be tuned with 3 presets for whatever kind of music you listen too,

Oh I forgot to say, your standard speakers are pretty good so try them with the new head unit before splashing out on new ones, you will be surprised what a decent head unit will do with them

Always found P38 and L322 to have great speakers, even with the low spec audio system.

Get a decent head unit in the P38, and a sub in the back unless you want to fit the oem sub box out of a Vogue.

The L322 has its amp for the sound is in the NSR storage box in the boot, you can get adaptors leads to break into the OEM wiring. This means you can take feeds for all the amps you may need, and run output back into the wiring to run to the door speakers. All nice and simple. Best leaving it to a specialist if you're not sure what's what though.

what about Memphis power reference? also what are good like box designs?
