New Series 3 Owner

Good Evening all,

I'm James, I've just recently purchased a lovely 1983, 88", 2.25 petrol via the wonderful ebay. It seems fairly straight but has no MOT. I've already found 90% of the jobs that it will require to get on the road although most of them thankfully are minor.

I'm an electrical engineer by trade with previous experience of mechanics so luckily very well placed to take on such a vehicle. I'm currently at sea with work which is giving me loads of time to research, price up and drool over parts for my landy.

I've been a fan of Land Rovers ever since I was young, my dad was an outdoor leadership instructor, in the Brecon Beacons with the navy, he used to have to bring home the 110's from work as there was no other way of getting to work when the weather was bad!

I will probably ask loads of questions over the next couple of weeks that I think about but fully intend on taking loads of pictures and discussing on here work that I have carried out.

I live in Cornwall and I am fully up for meeting with others in the region and helping with work and vice versa.
