Hello All!

The rear door on my defender had some corrosion issues.

The inner frame is ok-ish but nog great. I think it might be better to change it for a new one.

I live in The Netherlands and shipment is always an issue when ordering parts from the UK. Somehow most suppliers are reluctant to ship and quote very high prices.

The only supplier that I know of that doesn't is Paddock. They are more then reasonable with the costs of shipment.

Question is, the doors they supply are the any good? I dont want to see it rot though in a short while.

Any other suppliers, tips are more than welcome!!

There's a seller on eBay called SPGLOBALPARTS who make doors brand new and they seem pretty reasonably priced. When I come to buying new series doors ill be getting them from there. You could always ask them how much shipping is for a rear door

A rub down and red oxide will sort that out!!
No need for a new one, or I will buy it

Any paint shop.
Where are you from?
It's a paint coating to protect metal

Local engineering or builders supplier. Search on here ther are dozens of threads about your door problem!

to jump in, would it be red oxide>primer>paint ?

You can use the red oxide as a primer but its a slightly rougher finish.
Red oxide ain't cheap but nor are body panels
