Right, my old rear silencer had fallen apart, rusted at the bottom.
I've hacksawed it off (Why, oh WHY couldn't they make it EASILY removable?!) and now have the exhaust finishing up just behind the left hand rear wheel. It is a 3" pipe eh? May weld on a new section with two cuts in it, so that all you need do is clamp on the new one.
Not much noisier with it off, deeper yes, but not as gurgly as I'd like.
Fit a performance exhaust? Or leave it? Air filter?

But what sort of emissions would I produce with just one silencer?

Hi

I thought the rear set did seperate around the middle of the car theres an olive (or there is on mine) this is connected by two bolts so it should come appart.

Performance exhaust eeeeeeeeeeeeeek I have a cherry bomb with an diametre of some 6inches it is ok out side when the engines running BUT on a journey it sounds like a battleship (which is why the exhaust is up forsale elsewhere on the forums.)

I also have an cone airfilter (not K&N wont touch them only a name) fuel economy is ok 17-24 ish

Don't remember if the exhaust is much to do with the emissions although it has to be some part, don't imagine it's going to upset emissions by that much (although Police might not like it if you don't have a full exhaust. They got touchy with mine)
