New proud owner of Disco 3 HSE!

Hiya,

Just picked up a silver Disco 3 HSE last week!
What a change from my previous driving experience - My previous car was a BMW M5, low slung, fast and furious. Except I moved to the coontry and the tyre and general cost was killing me...

Now with the landy, it seriously feels sluggish, but it drives over everything which is pretty handy. - No longer fretting about kerbing rims, speedbumps or even islands on traffic circles.

A somewhat different kind of pleasure!

Question is, which gives you more opportunity to have fun? Its all about the conditions which arise from standard uk roads.

Sports car = Overtaking hitting 8000 rpm while the V8 screams on a B road up a hill, drifting corners on a sunny friday evening on a sweet open road, accelerating downhill so you sorta black out (impressive)

Landy = Basically driving over stuff, sliding your bum in without leaning over, carrying loads of crap, making your wife happy because you don't drive like you're possessed any more!

Landy is more fun most of the time.

With an m3 or m5 or any quick car a few seconds of full throttle gets you into licence losing territory, so you had to be really careful who was about.

I don't have that problem now, and now I lok forward to bad weather as well

Yeah - Defo the bad weather thing. I live in a really rural area and I used to really freak out about the snow and mud. Now, like you say, its something to look forward to!
