I agree a lovely loooking car and I can imagine the smile you have driving it , mire so with the knowledge you can do a long tour without fear of breakdown.
Re your mates, if he has paid to have a driveable car and they haven’t met the required specification, is’nt the first course of action to detail the faults and give the “pro’s “ first chance to rectify their mistakes or negotiate a refund for the additional work reqd

Did that to a diesel tank strapped it to it and filled it with gravel and old fuel cleaned it ok then used acetone instead of fuel bloody hell what came out was like thick brown syrup...

Mmm, nice! Seen it done with old nuts, washers etc as well. Gravels cheaper
