Well I’m really in the dog house, spent 2 years up to now totally restoring a landy series 2 and still not finished.
Just bought a 1980 2 door original Range Rover, needs a total restoration.

Did you drive it home ? :D
Not been on the road for 20 yrs, it was a probate sale. After a bit of pre preparation , and fed petrol direct from a can it now runs. Sweet as nut.
Mrs still not talking to me, and just been let down with the storage.

That’s the wife’s MG TF bought new 3 days before rover closed in 2005.
about 8,000 miles in last 16 yrs apart from 3 new batteries and one new set of tyres ,it’s as I left factory.
Back in early 80's had MGB roadster, loved it. My cousin had The BGT V8 til big ends went kaboom. My uncle had an old TF with running boards during the 60's. We loved that car, infact I still have the original workshop manual for it.
Knew 2 people who had the new TF and didn't give it good reviews. Both had brake callipers seize (one of them on M1 at 70mph) and over heating problems. Believe the engine was put into the early Freelander which had over heat problems too.
Now adays have a Mazda MX5 mk3 to zoom around in. Got to admit they are very good cheap sport cars
