My discovery has 2 inch spacers and 2 inch springs on old shocks. Ive replaced the rear shocks for pro comp +4 inch, and changed the top shock mount so they are pin to pin. All looked well until I drove up the road. Felt very spongy on the back. I then went over a bump in the road and bang went the bump stops. Now I need to be careful when driving it about cause it can bottom out on anything. The springs on the back are bearmach heavy duty +2 inch apparently. I got them off a guy who said they were. Im not so sure now. I think they are light dutys. Any way of telling?
Anyone got any suggestions before I go spend £80 on new +2 inch heavy duty springs

Cheers

ive got a procomp lift kit on mine and im guna change it soon, its not very old and the front springs have sagged and 2 of the shocks are leaking.im guna go for a terrafirma 1 next time.theres loads of diferent spring and shock combos and when you tlk to companys about them they actualy no about the product.

No I cant be. I cant bouncy up and down on the rear bumper and nearly bottom the stops out. Bout 4 inches from bump stop so driving over a speed bump it goes all the way

Ye I think that's wot mine were.mines been bobtailed so the rear is about normal height but the front is really down and the shocks are awfull

Right. I now have +5 pro comp shocks pin to pin and terrafirma +2 springs.
The bottoming out has stopped but the springyness is still there. Its like the shocks cant keep up ot they are just too soft . I think the pro comps are no good.
Terrafirma +5 s for the pin to pin now?
