If you can't afford a Defender and want off road bits...then just buy a Discovery.. a REAL off roader all in one cheap, complete package!!
It'll look better even when it's parked next to the hair salon
AHEM! Sorry!! Banter aside - go and have a look around the Freelander section, you should get some good pointers in there to enhance any non-tarmac abilities.
