New owner of a 90 defender

Just like to say hi to all, this is my 2nd landy the first being an old 110. I have had this one from new ( 4 months old ) all going well apart from the odd leak into the cab which I expected but yesterday when pulling of the drive I had a groaning noise from the PAS , checked the res and it was empty (all on my drive) to cut a long story short I topped it back up went for a drive 40 miles ish & the level in the res had dropped slightly, but this morning it had dropped a lot....is this a common problem

Welcome to the mad house m8 and yes everything built in solihull will leave its mark somewhere. Now if I read your post right its a new motor and nice and shiney and its 4 months old so still under waranty so get in it and go str8 round to landrover main stealer and moan like hell thay should fix what ever it is for free and tell um u spent 90 squid on atf oil over xmas while they wos shut and they owe u it back

Take it back and start threatening the gaffer.

all sorted very quickly (not by the garage-no one picking up phone) but land rover assist came out within 30 mins, then sent someone to tow it to garage an hour later then shortly after that a new (very nice) hire car was dropped off....great service, shame about the garage letting me down. As it turned out they fixed it in the end anyway.
