Hi all,
I'm new to this site and would like to say hello.

I have a 1972 LHD ex military 109 that i bought to restore in October. found the engine to be from 1964, changed in the 80's at a garage in Barrow. I know this as i have all the paperwork from new including the military manual that came with the land rover.

It was stored in a barn in Kendal since 1996 where it was stripped and put back to gether with a bulkhead from a 130 i believe. it runs sort of, but the wiring harness has been removed (looks like with a bow torch). Came with 4 spare wheels. 2 spare bonnets (both seem to have seen better days). Bonnet fitted is i believe from a series 2/2a.

Now sits under my new car port outside the dining room window (this is causing her indoors to keep telling me how dark it is now).

I would like to paint it Limestone but am unsure if a land rover of this year had a white roof or was all one colour (i would like it all one colour)? and i don't want a nato green one.

Log book and the military documentation say it is a five seat but i would like to put in the benchs in the back and make it a 11/12 seat, would this cause a problem?

Will start working on it very soon, does anyone know if it will be a problem for parts being LHD as i may need a new dash, steering box etc?

Thanks for you help in advance.
